Yellow is an urban-gothic drama set in a bizarre, anachronistic London inhabited by some creepy and disturbing characters.
Fern stands on a bridge asking passers-by if they will photograph her using her old pocket camera. A mysterious child, Saffron, appears and helps her. Back at her hotel, Fern’s eyes start to give her trouble. Eventually we discover why, and it isn’t nice. Along the way we encounter the uncanny Counting Man, a voyeuristic hotel porter, a dissolute priest with an unusual addiction involving invertebrates, and a wolf which may, or may not, be the girl Saffron in another form.
